One of the newer hotels that was recently built, located right on San Fernando Blvd, only about 4 blocks away from downtown Burbank full of shops and restaurants. This is a beautiful hotel in a great location. A block away from the hotel is the entrance to the 5 freeway Southbound and a few blocks away is the 5 freeway southbound. The location is as good as can be. There are plenty of shops and restaurants near by and is a great area for walking. Another bonus is that this hotel is pet friendly. The minimum age to check into the hotel is 18 years old.

The Hilton Inn features a Fitness center, outdoor pool, wifi and a single restaurant. Although I would not worry about the hotel having only one restaurant since there are a ton of restaurants within walking distance.

SpringHill Suites Burbank

One of the newer hotels built in Burbank, the SpringHill Suites is located right next to the Hilton Garden Inn (mentioned above). Location and distance to the shops and restaurants are only blocks away and within walking distance. The hotel has about 170 rooms with a pool, free wifi, is pet friendly (not free), free breakfast, a wonderful bar/lounge and a separate restaurant. All rooms also include a sofa beds and free cribs/infant beds, which is great for family traveling. The hotel is highly rated and recommended. While the hotel has no age requirements for check-in, generally the minimum age required is no younger than 18 but please confirm with the hotel prior to check-in or reservations.

Hotel Burbank

Formerly known as Holiday Inn, is one of the most popular hotels in Burbank. Similar to the Hilton mentioned above, Hotel Burbank is located within walking distance to the shops and restaurants on San Fernando Blvd. This hotel is actually about 3 blocks away from the Hilton and is within a block of various restaurants and shops. The hotel is nice and clean and does have high rating and is highly rated. One bonus is, Hotel Burbank does offer free shuttle service to and from Burbank Airport. Ramada By Wyndham

Located in a more industrial area, the Ramada is another options for hotels in Burbank. The hotel is located directly next to the 5 freeway and is attached to one of the major exists. While close to the Burbank Empire Center and fairly close to the Burbank Airport, the hotel is otherwise secluded from other area of Burbank. There are no restaurants or shops within walking distance, although everything is a short drive away. The minimum age to check into this hotel is 18 years old. The hotel has a pool, fitness center and restaurant. The hotel is clean and has good reviews.

The Hampton Inn & Suites is also a fairly new hotel in Burbank. The hotel is located right next to the 5 Freeway, which can get noisy at times. Across the hotel is Woodbury University and within walking distance is a beautiful church, St. Leon Armenian Church. The hotel is further away from downtown Burbank shops and restaurants which is not ideal for those that want to walk to grab some food or just stroll through downtown. Downtown is about a 7 minute drive away. Hampton Inn does provide free shuttle service to the Burbank Airport, which is only an about 5 minutes away.

Some amenities of the hotel include fitness center, pool, free hot breakfast, shuttle service to the airport. The minimum age required to check into this hotel is 18 years old and the hotel is clean with good reviews.

Los Angeles Marriott Burbank Airport

The Marriot Hotel is located a block away from the Burbank Airport. It’s an ideal place to stay for those traveling for work or looking to stay near the hotel. Although I should mention that all the other hotels are no more than a 10 minute drive from the Burbank Airport, but this one is walking. The Marriot Hotel is a wonderful hotel to stay in.

The hotel features 488 rooms to go with 2 swimming pools, free roundtrip airport shuttle to the Burbank Airport and 3 onsite restaurants. If the dining options are not enough, across the street from the hotel, next to the airport is a large shopping center full of various dining options. The hotel also has no age requirements although 18 is generally the minimum. As always it is recommended to call and confirm with the hotel prior to making reservations.

Courtyard by Marriott Burbank

The Courtyard by Marriot is located within the empire shopping center, or attached next to it. Attached to the Courtyard is the Extended Stays Hotel, which I have excluded from my list due to poor reviews. The Courtyard by Marriott has great reviews but Extended Stay is on the cheaper side but both are in great location. The Courtyard by Marriot is in a great location. Its close to the Burbank Airport, a few minute drive from downtown Burbank and right next to the Empire Shopping center, which if you are not familiar is a giant area with multiple department and small store all outdoors. There are also plenty of places to eat within the Empire Center, all within walking distance from both hotels. Within the hotel is a bar, restaurant and coffee shop and cafe. All the amenities you will need exist at this hotel including fitness center, library and outdoor pool. The minimum check in age at this hotel is 18 years old.

Hotel Amarano Burbank

Hotel Amarano is located within a residential neighborhood further down Burbank and much closer to the Studios such as Warner Brothers, Universal and NBC. Getting to Hollywood is also much closer from this location then the others mentioned. The hotel is more of a luxury boutique hotel and a bit on the pricer side compared to the other hotels but well worth it as this hotel is beautiful.

Some of the amenities of Hotel Amarano include fitness center, free bike rentals to strole around town and is pet friendly. The hotel has a saltwater pool along with day beds to lounge near the pool while sipping on a cocktail along with outdoor dining. There are also plenty of restaurants and other dining options near by Hotel Amarano. The minimum age requirement to check in or book is 21 years old.

Minimum age requirement to book a hotel room in Burbank and most of Los Angeles

Looking at these hotels, one of the most common questions is if a person can book a hotel at 18 years old. The answer varies from hotel to hotel. Many of the places the minimum age is 18 years old however the hotels themselves set the age limit and in some cases, as mentioned above, the minimum age is 21 years old. If you are younger than 21 it is recommended to confirm the age requirement with the hotel itself.

So which hotel do I think you should stay at?

This depends on the purpose of your visit. All the hotels mentioned are great and highly rated. There are plenty of other smaller inns and motels throughout the city but the list was hand picked by me personally to include only the best. Hotel Amaron is the best luxury style hotel from the list, however it is on the pricier side. If you are looking for one of the affordable options and want to be within walking distance to shops and restaurants then I would recommend either Hilton Garden Inn Burbank Downtown, SpringHill Suites Burbank or Hotel Burbank. All three are in a great location and within walking distance to Downtown Burbank.

If you are traveling to Burbank for a business trip and want to be close to the airport then I would recommend Los Angeles Marriott Burbank Airport.
